The Minnesota Links will bounce back from its first loss of the season when they will host Los Angeles Sparks on Saturday afternoon in Miniapolis.
Minnesota (9–1) is coming from the 94-84 defeat on the road against Seattle Storm on Wednesday, which made a correct start for Minnesota, which is unbeaten at home.
Links Guard Bridget Carlton said he and his companions could learn from loss.
“This is a good moment for us to see arrivals,” Carlton said. “They had 50 points in paint. This cannot happen.”
Look for Minnesota to focus on internal defense when going against Los Angeles. The Sparks (4-7) on Wednesday hoped to win a back-to-back to win the 97-89 win over the Las Vegas aces on Wednesday.
Ricia Jackson has to continue her hot shoots after scoring 30 points for sparks in her most recent game. Jackson made 11 out of 17 shots from the ground, out of 4 beyond the arc.
“I just trusted my work,” Jackson said after the victory. “I played with confidence and let the game come to me.”
Kelsey Plum leads Los Angeles with 21 points per game to go with a team-high 5.7 assistance. Deerica Hambi (18.2 PPG) and Azura Stevens (14.2) were out of the top three scorers, and Jackson extended its season to a total of 11.5 points per competition.
Links are headed by Neffasa Kolier, an average of 25.4 points and 8.9 rebounds. Kayla McBrid ranks second with 17.3 points per game, and Curtainy Williams is third with 11.9.
This is the second matchup of the season between links and sparks.
In his first meeting, Links attended the road on the road against Los Angeles on 18 May. Kolier scored 23 points to lead Minnesota, and Alana Smith added 18 points.
Stevens scored 21 points to lead Los Angeles. Hambi tipped a double-dobbal with 20 points to go with 10 rebounds.
