CF Montreal is hoping that the two -week international break will be the only one that the doctor ordered and helped him correct his floundering weather when he visited Houston Dynamo on Saturday.

Montreal (1–11–5, 8 digits) lasts finally at the Eastern Conference and overall the MLS table has a point out of the basement. The Canadian side is 0-3–2 since its alone win on 10 May, with the New England Revolution 3–0 defeat in their recent match on 31 May.

“It was very big,” Montreal defender Jalan Neel said about the break. “It was a small recharge for us physically and mentally – correct our head for the rest of the season and correct our body.

“A lot of people were undergoing low knocks. … That kind of recharge is important, and is also going to Houston especially where it is difficult to play.”

Accepting 15 goals, the club has struggled to keep the ball out of its net in the last four matches. It is a Stark drop after scoring 17 goals through its first 13 matches.

Montreal interim coach Marco Donadale said, “We worked on specific areas, especially on protecting, especially on specific areas.” “In the last four matches … I don’t think our concentration has been the same. We have done a lot of work on it.”

Meanwhile, Houston returns to the pitch, where it was left before the break.

Dynamo (5-7–5, 20 digits) on 31 May had a 3–1 shock against Sporting Cancas City with a four-match point of point. He was 3–0-1 during his line and lost only twice in his last 10 matches (5-2-3).

“Important,” Houston coach Ben Alsen said after a loss to Cansus City, “Do we build and get better. … We have now everyone, and we know who we are. Now it is about keeping this puzzle together, taking out its best team out of there and growing.”

Dynamo Winger Lawrence Annali came as an alternative in the 81st minute to debut in defeat. In his second season with Houston, Enlly tore his ACL on 31 August 2024 – in the same match in which he made his first MLS Tally.

“You can see what Lawrence Annali brings to us and what is a miss,” Olsen said. “He is a boy with real juice and motion.”
