MLB Roundup: Eugenio Suarez, D-Back Slam Meriners

Eugenio Suarez hit his third Grand Slam of the season, Pavin Smith also moved to the sixth place of five runs, and Arizona Diamondback completed the three-game sweep of Seattle Meriners with a 5–2 win in Phoenix on Wednesday.

Diamondback, who entered 2–0 in the sixth, became the first team in Major League history, with eight Grand Slam in their first 68 matches.

Erizona’s Eduardo Rodriguez (2-3) did two runs and six hits in 6 1/3 innings in their second beginning since returning from the injured list. Katel Mart enhanced her on-base Streak with a pair of hits in 24 games.

Donovan Solano had two hits, one for Homer, Meriners, who have lost eight out of nine. Brian Wu (5-4) conceded five runs on seven hits in six innings.

Pirates 5, Marlins 2

Andrew McCchen slipped the three -run homer and Bailey Falter allowed just one run in 5 1/3 innings as hosts Pittsburgh defeated Miami for the fifth time in six matches.

McCchen’s Homer was ranked 241 in a pirates uniform, which placed the Hall of Fame Roberto Clemente third in the all-time list of the franchise. K’Brian Hayes added two hits and two stolen hideouts, while Falter (5-3) gave five hits and one walk doing three fans.

Herberto Hernandez built a double to speed up his first career homer and Marlins, who dropped eight out of 10. Cal Quantrill (3-7) surrendered six hits and four runs (three earned) in five innings.

Carlos Santana celebrated the 15th anniversary of his Major League with his sixth career Grand Slam, as host Cleveland rolled Cincinnati.

Logan Alan (4-4) scored two runs on four hits in six innings with six strikes and one walk as the Guardian wrapped the Ohio Cup with a record of 1-5. Lane Thomas took three hits, including a three-run homer, and Jose Ramirez enhanced his on-base Streak with a double with a career-high 37 games.

Reds Starter Nick Lodolo (4-5) moved to just 3 1/3 innings as he allowed six runs and five hits. Elli de la Cruz exploded 441 feet from Allen, and TJ Freedal added a single shot.

Phillies 7, Cub 2

After scoring 20 runs in his last two beginnings, Jesus Lujardo returned with a run in six innings as host Philadelphia claimed a rubber match against Chicago.

Lujardo (6-2) scattered five hits and taunted 10 without walking. Kyle Schwarbar and Alec Bohm sweeps single homes for Phillies, while Bohm scored four runs.

Cub Starter Ben Brown (3-5) gave six runs and eight hits in 5 2/3 innings. Carson Kelly and Nico Horner contributed two hits as Chicago wrapped their longest road trip with a record of 4–5.

Brevs 6, Brucers 2

Spencer Shlavenbacht threw the first entire game of his career and Ronald Akuna Jr. moved to a domestic run and two -for -5 with a domestic run and two RBI to help Atlanta defeat Atlanta.

Schwellenbach (5-4) gave just two earned runs on two hits on nine hits, while attacked nine and no one was running as he became the first Braves Pitcher in this season, who beat a full game. Atlanta won two out of three in Milwauki.

Chad Patrick (3-6) scored five runs on seven hits in five innings, three out of eight and three for Brucers. RHYS Hoskins hit a single home run.

Blue Jais 5, Cardinals 2

Bo Bichet scored two runs, Erni Clement went to 3-for-4 with a home run and Vladimir Gurro Jr. did two hits for Toronto and one RBI, who achieved three-game sweeps against hosts St. Louis.

Eric Lawyer played 4 1/3 innings, which scored two runs on four hits for Blue Jais, who won 12 of their last 14 matches. Spencer Turnbull (1-0) threw two scorers innings and Yalel Rodriguez saved his first career.

Yohel Poseo hit a single shot for cardinals, which lost four directly. Matthew Libertor (3-6) allowed five runs (three earned) on eight hits in five innings.

Angels 6, Athletics 5

Joe Edel slammed a two-ron homer to highlight the sixth of six runs, as Los Angeles defeated athletics and swept their three-marks series in Ainahm, California.

In the last 11 matches, Edel’s seventh Homer reduced the Angels rally. George Solar connected the Reliever Grant Holman (4-2) by two runs in the sixth. Kyle Hendrix (4-6) gave seven hits and three runs (two earned) in six innings.

Brent Rooker went to 4 -for -5 with two homes, one double, three runs and three RBI for athletics. AK Starter Jaypee Sires gave four hits and two runs in 5 1/3 innings. He hit a season-high nine without walking.

Dojers 5, Padress 2

Teoscar Hernandez cracked the three -run homer for a sixth innings tie as Los Angeles won a series over hosts San Diego.

Freddy Freeman launched the winning rally with an out-out Infield single from Adrian Morezone (3-3). Jeremia Estrada gave relief and wel Smith, and then Hernandez blasted a fastball on the wall of the center ground for his 11th Homer.

Lu Trivino (2–0) won with an ideal fifth and Alex Vesia, which the eighth Los Angeles Pitcher of the game collected his third savings by taking out the side in the ninth. Padress walked a total of four hits and six and hit seven times.
