Dallas Mavric and Detroit Piston will play a regular season game on 1 November in Mexico City’s Arena CDMX.

The NBA confirmed its 34th game in Mexico on Tuesday, the highest in any country outside the US and Canada.

The game will be observed locally as part of “diya de martos” (day-day) function, including a variety of in-game activation, a themed court and initiative for fans. This is the second consecutive year for the theme “Diya de Martos”. In last year’s play, on November 2, Arina CDMX had Miami Heat vs Washington Wizards.

“MAVERX and Piston are two exciting teams with a mixture of established and emerging stars,” NBA Latin America’s Senior VP/Head of Operations, Latin America Senior VP/Operations head Raul Zaraga said in a statement. “We are ready to welcome him back to Mexico and once again to celebrate ‘Dia de Murtos’ in Mexico and with emotional NBA fans in Latin America.”

The 2025 drafts (expected to flag down the Duke star Cooper) will play their eighth game in Mexico, an officer of the top pick.

Piston, who finished one of the biggest year-by-year turnout in the history of NBA, earning number 6 seed in the playoffs of the Eastern Conference, will play his third game in the south of the border.

The live broadcast of the event is expected to spread worldwide, which reaches more than 200 countries and regions through television, digital media and social media.
