Jeff McNell made a walk-off single in the 10th innings, as New York Mets held rallies to win a 5–4 victory in Washington National in a three-game series opener on Tuesday night.
The Mets lagged 3–0 and 4–2 before their fourth direct win and their 13th win in the last 16 matches.

The Wood was 1 -for -4 on Tuesday, while Hassel finished 0 -for -4.
Mets Starter Griffin Canning scored four runs on seven hits and scored two runs in 5 1/3 innings for more than four times.
