Angels win in 10th, 6–0 vs. athletics

Nolan Shanuel drilled a run-scoring single with two outsiders under the 10th innings, so that Los Angeles’ angels won 2–1 over athletics on Tuesday night.

Scanuel reached the base four times-on three singles and one walk-Angills improved 6–0 against athletics this season.

Travis D’Rnod hit a tied homer in the eighth innings for Angels, who had won the sixth time in the last eight matches. Jose Soriano hit a career-case 12 in seven innings. Reid Deitmers (2–2) hit two in the top of the 10th.

Brent Rooker did a run-scoring double stroke for athletics, falling for 23rd time in his last 27 matches.

Joe Edel was an automatic runner at the bottom of the 10th, and he moved third on Kevin Pneumon’s bouncer for the other. Zach Neto was deliberately run by Hogan Harris (1–1), before Scanuel line the decisive hit.

Scanuel’s winner was the only hit in the game with runners in scoring. Angels were 1-for-6 and athletics were hitless in eight-bats.

Athletics took a 1-0 lead below the eighth, before D’Rnod slammed the first pitch on the wall from TJ McFarland in the left centers.

Later, Shanuel sang. Tyler Ferguson then replaced McFarland and motivated Mike Trout to fly. Scanuel stole another before Taylor Ward to terminate the Taylor ward.

Soriano gave one run, two hits and two walks. He did not leave a hit up to two outer in the sixth.

Mich Spens allowed three walks in five shutouts for athletics. He hit four and no one went.

Neto had seven hits of Los Angeles.

Athletics star Jacob Wilson (left hamstring tightness) dropped out of the competition.

Soriano went to Max Shumiman to start the sixth and dropped the next two, before Rooker gave a smack to the left-centers from a run-scoring double for the first hit of athletics.

Angels started half the half of their sixth with a double by Neto and Michael Kelly inspired Trout to play a double. Ward made a walk to Kelly before retiring George Solar on a fly on the right to eliminate the frame.
