According to several reports on Monday, Packers Center Elgaton Jenkins plans to participate in compulsory minicamps at Green Bay, although participation is a completely different story.

In search of an adjusted contract to reflect the current market for its new position, Jenkins has been away from the team since the onset of Offsen. He is going to the center from the guard and when he said that he is responsible for a step in the previous season, he wants to pay for his versatility after a significant Snap logging in the guard in the previous season.

Jenkins has two years left for four years, signed on $ 68 million contracts in 2022, but none of it is guaranteed.

NFL Network said on Monday that it is unlikely that Jenkins would practice in his contract without financial guarantee for injury.

Packers aggressive coordinator Andy Stanvich said that Jenkins was on board with position switch after the draft, but ESPN reported that Jenkins wanted to protect the guarantee or a new deal to make this step.

At an average annual salary of $ 17 million per year, the current deal of Jenkins will make him the second largest payment center in NFL-the Al-Crid Humphrey ($ 18 million) behind the Came Jargans (Eagles)-tied with the Came Jugance (Eagles).

Jenkins turned 30 in December and left the bumps inside to create a room for free agent, which Aaron banks to play left guard. Packers also chose Anthony Belton (54th) and seventh-rounder John Williams in their 2025 draft class.

Jenkins was a second round pick in 2019 and played the center in college. General Manager Brian Gutekunst has very little interest in expanding contracts for players with more than one season on the existing contract.

“We feel that he has got a chance to become an all-flow. We have talked a lot about it, how the versatility plays in our aggressive line, and there are people who can go to different places,” Gutekunst said. “And Elgton is one of those who can play all five spots, so he is a luxury. I am excited to see what he can do in the center, as well.”
