Oklahoma City Thunder controlled most of the first two matches of the NBA final, but only managed a partition on the floor of his home.
He took a 15 -point lead to lose game 1 on Thursday and led more than 23 winning game 2 on Sunday.
If Thunder takes a 2–0 lead, this series would feel completely different heading for Indianapolis for sports 3 and 4.
But Partition in Oklahoma City gave life to pacers that their performances were not fully worth.
Nevertheless, it almost seems to be that Indiana will have to win both sports at home so that there is a valid shot to win the series.
Their building must be shaking, and the highly charged environment will make things hard on the thunder.
But if the teams divided two matches in Indianapolis, it is in favor of Oklahoma City. And obviously, losing both will be disastrous for pacers.
Indiana needs to win – preferably people on their home court.
Through the first two matches, there are not enough indications that pacers can beat Oklahoma City four times.
Indiana never led to game 1 until Tierace Heliberton’s decisive basket survived with 0.3 seconds. Without that late return, pacers must have already staring at the 0-2 deficit.
In Game 2, Pacors never made a serious allegation by falling 123–107. Thunder led 18 on a halftime and ensured that not to enhance another lead.
To win the next two matches for pacers, Heliberton has to increase his game. His performance has definitely been lukewarm till now.
The Haliberton series receives 15.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 6.0 assistance-an OK State Line for the fourth best player of the team. But pacers require superstar-level production.
Heliberton may have struggled to be comfortable on the biggest platform of NBA. Sometimes it takes time for a player to settle. But now is the time.
“I have a better job to find out where I can be better,” said Heliberton. “… I think during the series or through these first two games, I am learning where my spots are and I can be better.”
Heliberton said that pacers feel good about earning a split. Well, yes, they were closely close to 0–2.
Thunder certainly kicked himself to fly a big lead in game 1, and he focused his attention in Game 2.
There was no way, Oklahoma City was giving slip on Sunday. You can understand this with an initial tip.
Thunder coach Mark Dignult said, “People only did a big job to focus on what we had to do to win.”
League MVP Shai Gilgeous-Aexander scored 34 points on Sunday and scored 72 points for the highest record (71 in 2001) for the highest in one player’s first two NBA final games.
Gilgus-Alexander required 30 shots to score 38 points in Game 1. He was very efficient in game 2, scoring 34 on just 21 attempts.
The thing about Gilgeous-Aexander is that a team can play relatively strong defense and will still end close to 30 digits. He is dishonest and grows for every big moment.
This is bad news for pacers because it is very clear: Oklahoma City series will win if SGA holds an average 36 points per game. There is no doubt about it.
Who knows what is in the store on Tuesday night? Return pacers will be high at home, and thunder will be motivated to seize control.
But if we are really going to get a competitive series, Indiana needs to go 2–0 at home.
