Katie Leedki won 400 freestyle for 32nd US title

Katie Leadeki declined by a short time of its national-ridic time, but still won the 400m freestyle title at the US Swimming Championship in Indianapolis on Friday.

Although the Ladeki was at the speed of breaking her US mark (3 minutes, 56.46 seconds) through the final, she left to finish in 3: 58.56. Claire Venstein 4: 00.05 in second place, third with Bella Sims at 4: 07.11.

“(Descending to start fast) was not very important,” Ladeki said. “I just wanted to keep a solid race together. I was definitely harming the last 100, but overall I am very happy with it.”

Nine -time Olympic gold medalist Leadeki registered the 32nd National Championship of his career.

About his longevity, 28-year-old Washington, DC, country said, “Year to year a lot from year to year and always believe that I had something else after that stability, just rely on that it would have to pay, and my coaches have always trusted me. So, I would have to give a big thanks to me and believe.”

Another 28 -year -old Olympic champion, Lily King, finished second in his last domestic race, 100 breaststrokes. Kate Douglas prevails in 1: 05.79, while the king was runner-up at 1: 06.02, well set in 2017 from its world-ridden time of 1: 04.13. Alex Walsh came in third place at 1: 06.50.

Rex Maurer set the US open record in 400 men’s freestyle at 3: 43.33. The old mark of 3: 43.53 was determined in 2008 by Larsen Jensen. Luka Mizatovic claimed second place in 3: 45.71, and Ryan Erisman scored the top three in 3: 46.01.

Campbell McCain won male 100 breaststroke in 58.96. Josh Maithni chased at 59.18, and NAT Germanpress finished third in 59.89.

Regan Smith won the women’s 100 backstroke in 57.69. Catherine Bercoff occupied second place in 58.13, and Lih Shekle and Clair Curzon shared third place, both touched in 58.60.

Tommy Janton was the men’s 100 backstroke champions with a time of 53.00. Jack Aikins (53.19) and Daniel Daihal (53.35) chased.
