The final four sets of the French Open have been set, as Italian Jannik Sinner and Serbia’s Novak Djokovic strengthened the quarter -finals of the event in Paris to proceed in the semi -finals in Paris on Wednesday.
They will face a half of the semi -finals on Friday, join the Italian Lorenzo Mussetti and Spaniereard Carlos Alakraj, who will fight before the Sunday final in Rolland Garos.
Sinner, the world’s top -ranked player, locked Alexander Bublike in Kazakhstan in straight set within two hours, which led to his small work on Clay Court.
In search of its first French Open Championship, Sinner won 6–1, 7–5, 6–0, before being pressed into Set 2, the court scored an easy win in the first set in the Philipp-Chetrier.
The 23-year-old Papi took advantage of 4-3 and 5-4 before winning three directly for the rally.
From there, it was smooth sailing in the last set.
“We already play a couple of times, so you know a little what is expected,” Sinner said. “But in the second way, with him, you never know what is happening. He was worth living in the quarter -finals. He defeated very difficult opponents. I tried to focus on my side of the court and play as concrete as much as possible, as he could do something up.”
For intellect, the sinner caught 31 winners, while Bubliel endured 37 unexpected errors in the match.
After winning his last 19 matches at major events, Sinner became the first Italian man to reach six major semi -finals.
Despite proceeding from the semi -finals anytime in the incident, the sinner expressed enthusiasm on the upcoming occasion.
“I am very happy and happy how I reached the semi -finals,” Sinner said. “The semi -finals in the Grand Slam are very special, so I am eager for it.”
Djokovic, 38, defeated Alexander Zerev of Germany 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 to three hours and 20 minutes in Rolland Garos, which will be his first head since 2024 (Australian Open).
It continues a warm run on Clay for Djokovic, who won in Geneva and now win nine matches in a row on the surface.
It was not easy, especially as early as Zverev seized the control 2–0 and made that advantage a stick for a opening-set win.
Jokawik corrected the error in set 2, taking advantage of 4–1. They did the same, above 2–0 in set 4.
The set 3 was different, Zeverev was going above 1-0 and 2–1, before Djokovic won five directly for the set.
“My strategy was just to play the drop shot,” Djokovic said. “So, I played three or four in a row … maybe you can’t see it on TV, but there is a lot of wind from one side, so it gives a sensation that you have to hit barely twice. It was important to separate the game.”
Despite all that, Zeverev never accepted, and only lost 42–38 to the winners. The German also proved itself to be relatively equal to the return points (35 to 37) and saved four match points, which was not compared to anyone for Jokavik.
Nevertheless in the last game of the day, both of them exchanged 41 shots, winning their fifth match point with Serbian after converting the point.
“Obviously there was a lot of pressure,” Djokovic said. “Zerev has been one of the best players in the world in the last six years. This is the reason why I still want to play and compete.”
