Report: Caqueliers Assistant Jordan Oat as a coach

Phoenix Sons Cleveland Cavelie’s assistant coach Jordan Oat is hired as his next head coach, ESPN said on Wednesday.
The OTT will be hired for the situation on its former cavaliers associate, Associate Head Coach Johnny Bryant. Oat and Bryant met with Sun owner Matt Ishbia, CEO Josh Bartelstein and new general manager Brian Gregory in Michigan on Tuesday.
According to ESPN, Sun Star Davin Booker was involved in the later stages of the search process and tabed the OTT as his choice as the head coach.
Phoenix Mike is looking for a replacement for Budenholzer, which was removed after its first season after a record of April 14 and 36–46. OTT will be the fourth coach in four sessions for Sun.
Oat launched his career as a video coordinator in Michigan State in 2008 before filling the same role under Budenholzer with Atlanta Hawks. He joined Brooklyn Nets as an assistant coach in 2016 and moved to Los Angeles in 2022, before Kenny Atkinson hired him in Cleveland.
NBA Coach of the Year Atkinson and his employees led cavalriors to 64 wins and the Eastern Conference Playoffs, where they lost to Indiana pacers in the second round.
