Former Uconn Star Paige Bueckers returns to the connecting on Tuesday night when their Dallas Wings winning teams visit the Sun in the battle of teams.
The WNBA 2025 draft has a team-high 13.0 points for the number 1 pick bueckers, wings (0-4) and a 4-for-12 from the 3-point range. She may expect a warm welcome from the crowd in Uncasville, Conn after leading Hakis at a national championship less than two months ago.
Through four matches, the Beukers have become the fastest player in the WNBA history, since 50 points and 25 supports for the fellow Uconn Great Suu Bird.
The wings have lost 13 in a row in the previous season and are now constructed for the future around the Beukers and experienced Erake Ogunbolele. The start of 0–4 since the opening of 0–5 in 2019 is his worst.
“I have been encouraged by our continuous fight and how this team is not spoiled,” said first -year Dallas coach Chris Koklanas on Saturday after the loss of eight points in Atlanta. “It has happened many times in every game where you see where this game is going … and this group has always fought, and it’s something we can back.”
Dallas has four crooks on the roster and no more than 29 players. They are allowing 86.5 points a game, the other in the WNBA.
Connecticut (0-4) is going through rumors of selling or transferring itself among the rumors of the franchise. The Sun lost his entire opening five through Trades and Free Agency from last year’s WNBA semi -finalists. The beginning of 0–4 is the worst since leaving five directly to start the 2020 campaign.
The Sun WNBA has the lowest scoring team at 68.0 points per game. He scored just 55 points to damage the dream on Sunday, scored the lowest point in a game since 2015. He scored only seven points in the fourth quarter.
“We need to find our fire,” the first year coach Rachid Mezian said after Sunday’s loss. “This is something that we don’t have. All our players are good people and good players. We have to live together. We will not win a game if we have one or two players scoring 20 points – we need more than everyone.”
Tina Charles has been the biggest bright place for the sun, returning to the place where she started her career. At the age of 36, she leads the sun with 14.5 points, but she is also looking for an answer.
“This is a young team,” Charles said on Sunday. “We are just trying to stay positive and remain optimistic. You can handle missed shots, but it is about competition and effort at the end of the day.”
There are deep relations between these two franchises. Coclanas was an assistant with the Sun for four years (2019–22). The teams were also involved in a four-team trade in Offsen, where the wings got the best players in 2024 WNBA, Dijonai Carrington and The Sun Got Jess Sheldon.
Sheldon has launched three out of four games and scored an average of 5.3 points for the Sun. Carrington scored 8.8 points for Wings in the first four.
Connecticut held all three meetings in the last season.
