Netizens appointed Shubman Gill as Team India’s new Test captain

Shubman Gill will replace Rohit Sharma as the test captain of the Indian cricket team.
Shubman Gill has been officially named as India’s Test captain, marking a new era in Indian cricket. Shubman Gill’s leadership journey in the international arena will be a new one, but it has been shaped by his performances in the IPL and his growing confidence as a player. With both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli retiring from the longest format of the game, Gill now carries the responsibility of leading India in the upcoming five-match series against England. His assertiveness and competitive nature have impressed selectors, and now he must prove himself on India’s tour of England.
“We obviously discussed every option that’s there. Over the last year or so, we have looked at Shubman at various times, even when we played England last year, to take a lot of feedback, even in the dressing room as well,” said Agarkar. “Obviously, he is very young but you have seen the improvement – and I know it’s T20 cricket – for GT [Gujarat Titans] Too. We hope we have chosen the right man. He is a terrible player, and best wishes to him, ” BCCI chief selector Ajit Aggarkar said.
