“Disturbed and disappointed”: East-India Star’s Big ‘Behind the Scene’

This has been a disappointing season for Lucknow Super Giants Captain Rishabh Pant. Indian cricket team wicket-keeper Batter, which was bought by LSG in a record of Rs 27 crore in the IPL mega auction, has scored just 128 runs in 11 matches in 11 matches in 11 matches. With just one half-century, the pants form has left a lot to be desired and as a result criticism of both fans as well as experts. Former Indian cricket team batter Akash Chopra weighed the disappointing run of the pants and said that he looked extremely upset and disappointed during the last few matches. He said that Pant is not a captain that one has a desire and wonder what is happening “behind the curtain”.

“It is also true that he was extremely animated as a captain in the previous match before the IPL suspension. It seemed that he was extremely upset and disappointed. It is not the captain you want, who wants to look frustrated on the ground. You and I will never know what is going on behind the screen,” Chopra said on her YouTube channel.

He said, “No one should know from the captain’s face that he is angry, but anger was visible, which is not a big deal.”

Earlier, Ravi Shastri says that Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant are the ideal candidates of Captain India in Test format, given that they have age and already have the experience of major IPL sides.

Shastri also feels that Jasprit Bumrah would have been a clear option for the role of leadership in the traditional format, but for his fitness issues, pacer should be protected from additional burden.

Shastri said in the latest episode of ICC Review with Bumrah’s wife Sanjana Ganesan, “Watch for me, Jasprit would be a clear option after Australia. But I don’t want Jasprit to be made captain and then you lose her as a bowler.

The selectors must choose a new test captain after Rohit Sharma’s recent retirement.

India’s next assignment is a five -match series against England, which starts on June 20 in Leeds. 31-year-old Bumrah struggled with a back injury in the final border-Gavaskar trophy match in Sydney. He was out of action for about three months – until early April – and missed India’s Champions Trophy winning campaign.
