Jannik Sinner Rome drops just one game in the quarter -final win

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner to set a semi-final match against Tommy Paul in International BNL D’Talia on Thursday in Rome in Rome in number 6 seed caper 6-0, 6-1 to 64 minutes.
Sinner thrilled the house crowd with her victory over Norwegian Cle-Kort Specialist Rood. This was Italian’s 25th consecutive match win, a streak that returns to 2024 before the three -month doping suspension.
“I was feeling very good in court today. I think we all saw,” the sinner said. “My goal was to try to understand where my level is in this tournament. It raised day -to -day, so I am very happy about it. The result does not really matter, but I felt that today was a very positive sign for me.”
As he prepares for Rolland Garos later this month, the sinner was pleased with his performance (25 of the 33 total service points) and on the net (11 of 11). He never faced a break point against Rud and finished the match to win 55 out of a total of 77 points.
The style in which he won was particularly notable that Rud won his first career ATP Masters 1000 title earlier this month on Clay in Madrid. The French Open is also fought on the soil.
“It’s not that a performance can now tell everything about my size, but I am very happy,” Sinner said. “I think everything was doing a great job today. I was serving well, returning well, and was going great in court. I am very happy about it and now let’s see what is coming in the semi.”
What’s coming, there is a date with American Paul, the number 11 seeds of the tournament. He lagged 30th seed Hubert Hurkaz 7-6 (4), 6-3 in his quarterfinal tilt.
Although Harkak excluded Paul 6–1, he made 48 unexpected errors, while Paul had only 25.
Paul is ready for his first ATP Masters 1000 title and the sinner will need to be removed to give him a chance. He reached the semi -finals in Rome last year, but never reached the final at 1000 level.
“Every time I come here, I feel at home,” said Paul. “The courts really correspond with my game. I feel comfortable here and I’m playing some good tennis this week.”
Paul saved 5 out of 8 break points and rallies from the first set tiebreaker to control the rest of the match.
