Delhi’s capitals may be determined for the major blow as a overseas star of Rs 11.75 crore.




Delhi Capital ‘(DC) Australian Pacer Mitchell Starc is unlikely to return to India, even though the Indian Premier League (IPL) season starts again. In fact, most of the top Australian cricketers are expected to leave the IPL, which was suspended for a week on Friday amidst increasing regional tension between India and Pakistan. Sources close to the BCCI told NDTV on Sunday that the IPL could resume in early 16 May, finally it is expected to move from 25 May to 30 May.

Top Australian cricketers landed in their respective cities after the IPL suspension. Stark, along with his wife Alyssa Heli, touched down in Sydney, where he refused to talk to the local media on the matter.

However, Stark’s manager later told nine Australian news that he could not return to India when the tournament resumes.

By age, Cricket Australia (CA) will support its players if they do not return to the IPL to resume.

Starc is not the only Australian cricketer whose IPL participation is in question. Pat Cummins and Travis Head, whose team Sunrisers Hyderabad is already out of the playoff controversy, can opt for the WTC final to remain in Australia for the preparation of the WTC final in the WTC final starting from June 11.

Adding to uncertainty is the logistics challenge to bring back foreign players and assistant employees, who left India within 24 hours of suspension.

Most of New Zealand parties have already returned home, while Cricket South Africa remains to decide whether its players can expand their stay beyond the NOC deadline on 25 May. The CSA board is expected to consult this on Sunday, in which the player is paramount.

For teams like RCB, this disruption has brought both complications and silver lining. RCB is managing its rehabilitation conservatively, looking at its availability for playoffs and potentially upcoming India is a Tour of England.
