7 potential replacement for Tom Thibodo as Nax Coach

Over the last five years, Tom Thibodo won 226 regular-season games with New York Nix, or just 30 less than its six predecessors.
His 24 playoff win since Jeff Van Gundi was the highest by a niches coach and six more than New York in 20 years before his arrival. And Nix’s visit to the finals of the Eastern Conference was the first for the franchise since 2000 in this spring and rioted a long-week party in a hungry city for a basketball title.
For all that, Thibodo was fired on Tuesday, before three years of detail he signed in the last summer.
Tuff Town, Tuff Gig-particularly for the successor of Thibodo, which comes with championship-or-bust expectations, even exposed by Indiana pacers in the final of the conference even after the depth of the nox, athleticism, and defensive skills.
There are some candidates who can be assigned to work with winning the first title of Nax since 1973:
Michael Malon, East-Nagates Head Coach: No one is better prepared for Crucible of New York than Malon. He spent two seasons as a Nax assistant in the early 2000s and has the son of late Brendon Malon, who had three separate stents as an assistant to New York. And no one understands the demands placed on the head coach like Malon, which was fired by Denver with three matches, which despite winning the franchise-ricord 471 games in a regular session, as well as winning the Nate Lone NBA title in 2023.
Johnny Bryant, Cavalers Assistant Coach: Bryant was the Associate Head Coach of Nix under Thibodo for four years before going to Cleveland in 2024. She is reportedly for Phoenix Sun Gig, only other current NBA openings, so thibodo firing may be a predetermined strike by Nax management. Bryant will also provide an familiar face for Nax, who has the only assistant coach Mauris cheek with NBA head coaching experience – who has not run a team since 2014.
Taylor Jenkins, pre-grouped head coach: Like Malon, despite an impressive track record in Jenkins Memphis, he was firing a surprising late season, where he won the franchise-record 250 games. His ability to cultivate young talents can be complicated as a replacement of the famous Veet-friendly Thibodo.
Mike Brown, East-Covelers, Lakes and Kings Head Coach: Brown coached Lebron James during the first term in Cleveland, so he knows about dealing with strong personalities. He was also an assistant to the three NBA champions with Golden State Warriors, which was before finishing the 16-year-old Postsen Drought in his first season in 2022–23.
Like Frank Vogel, East-Pires, Magic, Lakes and Sun Coach: Like Brown, he has experience of winning in challenging circumstances. Vogel received pacers in the final of the Eastern Conference in 2013-14 and after a year impatient Sunas led him to the title of Laks in Lake Bubbles before firing them.
Mike Budenholzer, X-Hax, Box and Sun Head Coach: When he was fired with Sun after the first season of the five-year deal, his star was dim. But they cannot be denied dismissing as part of a dialect by Nux, which is not looking at the box star Giannis Antatoconampo, although such a deal is not given the lack of first -round pics and tradable players.
Jeff Van Gundi, East-Nix and Rockets Head Coach: A long shot because it has been 18 years when he last worked as a head coach. But the van Gundi, still only 63 years old, is one of the few people who can score a run to Thibodo in the gym rat department, as they proved to be a assistant with clippers in this season after a successful broadcast career. Plus – and it cannot be said enough – as a former niches coach, van Gundi will know what he is doing.
