Kolkata Knight Riders registered an exciting victory over Rajasthan Royals in their IPL 2025 encounter on Sunday. With 22 runs to win from the final over, RR found himself in a brilliant position with two sixes and one in the first five balls. However, KKR won by one run-out, with the need of 3 runs in the final ball. This was a huge win for KKR as it placed him in the IPL 2025 playoff race, but it was unfortunate for Ryan Parag, whose 95 -run knock was in vain.
Here is how the final was revealed –
19.1 – 2 runs. Jofra Archer slammed Vaibhav Arora, but Rinku Singh pulled out a great savings to stop a certain-shot limit.
19.2 – 1 run. A yorker of Vaibhav and Jofra could only block the ball and take the same.
19.3 – 6 runs. A slow short ball of Vaibhav and Shubham Dubey was in the perfect position to slam it for a huge six above the deep backward class leg.
19.4 – 4 runs. This time a speed-delivery and Shubam Dubey once again makes no mistake in slamming it through a square leg for a four. Poor fielding efforts from Andre Russell.
19.5 – 6 runs. Shubam Dubey converted the ball into a full-toss with Vaibhav and it left for a long time. At this point, RR required 3 runs to win from final delivery.
19.6 – Run Out – A yorker of Vaibhav and Dubey could not connect properly. The ball went long-on, where Rinku Singh picked it up and thrown for Vaibhav to complete the run-out.
